Pilates

As a yoga teacher, a registered nurse, and a mum of two, I bring a unique blend of expertise, compassion, and real-life experience to my practice. My journey in yoga is deeply rooted in a commitment to wellbeing, mindfulness and holistic health.

With a professional background in nursing, I understand the importance of holistic health and the profound impact of stress on our bodies and minds. This knowledge informs my approach to teaching, ensuring that my classes are not only suitable for all but also deeply nurturing.

Balancing the demands of motherhood with my career has taught me the value of mindfulness and the necessity of taking time to reconnect with oneself. In yoga I found a passion and a way to care for myself and others. That’s why I strive to create a supportive and inclusive space where individuals can explore and deepen their practice.

My classes incorporate elements of breathwork, meditation, and physical postures, designed to cultivate inner peace, resilience, and a sense of community. I am passionate about guiding others on their wellness journey, helping them to find balance, joy, and a greater sense of wellbeing in their everyday lives.

I’m not super stretchy, I don’t have the perfect “yogi body” but I’m here to help my students feel better in any way that I can… It’s not about how it looks, it’s about how it feels

I became a Chartered Physiotherapist in 2008 having gained a BSc in Physiotherapy at Bournemouth University. Prior to that I had graduated with a Bsc in Sport and Exercise Science; where my research focussed upon running shoe design’s influence upon injuries.

As a graduate physiotherapist I gained valuable experience rotating through various specialities within the NHS, before concentratng on my keen interest of Musculo skeletal physiotherapy. Within this speciality I haved enjoyed enhancing many skills including acupuncture, dry needling, clinical pilates, spinal manual therapy, both in the Uk and overseas.

Whilst overseas I expanded my experience working with colleagues from around the world, treating a hugh spectrum of patients including high level athletes and many work related injuries.

My passion for treating patients comes from the satisfaction of getting to the root cause of problems and allowing patients to maximise their quality of life. This requires tailoring my treatment to each patient’s needs and insuring they are able to not only resolve problems, but also gain an understanding of how to prevent future issues.
